Akamai!

In a previous post, I talked about the fact that we were testing Akamai out for serving our site and that we were in the process of testing a couple of sections. We have since completed testing those sections and have now rolled Akamai throughout our entire site.

This should mean a huge improvement in performance and download time for everyone. It should also help us as we scale. I would like to thank the team at Akamai for helping us work through the configuration and testing. I have working with other CDN's (Content Delivery Networks) in the past and have been very impressed with Akamai's support and product.

More Speed!

In our never ending quest to improve site performance we have been working with Akamai to cache and accelerate our pages. So far things have been progressing quite nicely and Akamai has responded quite helpfully as all the bugs are getting sorted.

We are currently testing on Educational Content and Miscellaneous Guides and once we have all the kinks worked out we will expand to the rest of the site.
