Your recommendations in RSS

I forgot to mention in the last post, but you can also get your recommendations via RSS. Simply log in to My Articles and then click on the RSS icon next to the recommendations or subscribe via your browser's option.

Ratings & Bookmarks!

If you are a regular reader of Articles.DirectoryM you will have noticed that we recently added the ability for registered users to Rate articles and to Bookmark / Save articles.

This is actually pretty neat, because if you rate a few articles (about 10) we can provide some recommended reading material for you. Our recommendation engine is still pretty early in its life but so far it seems to be cranking out good related content.

DirectoryM's now available on TV web sites

We've done pretty well penetrating the major publishing sites with our Directory over the years...Newsweek, Inc, Business Journals in 42 cities...etc. We're getting to the blogs, and on Technorati now too. But we've had our eye on moving into a new channels too...web sites of local television stations. These sites seem to be getting a lot of traction as they are now being heavily promoted by the station on their TV newscasts and on promos.

Well...we launched with our first TV site recently- WKBW in Buffalo, New York...and we're seeing great results (http://www.wkbw.com/our local business directory is on the right hand side). And, we've just done a deal with a company that will get us on 400 more!
